I debated on this selection for a while, but what is helpful is that on the uomabeauty website you can add in foundation shades from other brands you have and it will tell you their best match. With this knowledge, I had narrowed my shade selection to two options which were T1N or T2N. Someone who is warm or olive would suit gold or rose gold jewellery better and only tan in the sun. Someone who is cool would only suit silver jewellery and burn in the sun but never tan. I tend to be neutral, I also suit both silver & gold jewellery and I burn but it turns into a tan after I’m in the sun. Just look at the colour of your veins around your wrist… If you don’t know how to find this out, here is a handy picture: Then inside that category, they break down the undertones in your skin, so if you are cool there is a C, Neutral – N and lastly, W for Warm. So if you are very fair you can assume you’d fit into the White Pearl category up to if you are deep in skin tone you will most likely fit into the Black Pearl range.įor me, I know that I am fair in complexion but I have never traditionally been the lightest shade in foundations so I was leaning towards the blue category called Fair Lady. Then each category has shades inside it so altogether they have 51 shades!! They have 6 categories of shades which are represented by the lid colours on the bottle, as you can see below: Luckily this has all been thought out by the brand. How was I going to narrow down all the shades to find my perfect one…? I was excited that I had so many shades to choose from but this also made it more daunting.
